For my "making media ethnography" ten-minute documentary film I investigate and analyze the female students here at Emory University who write for the fashion blog page of a website her campus.com. This blog site has in depth articles written by students from Emory University about students here at the College. The student writers not only write fashion articles but they also post pictures about the different everyday fashion styles worn by other students on campus. The fashion bloggers also give trend tips and fashion advice to the blog readers. The student writers from Emory University are the people I wish to interview for my ethnography documentary. I am personally very interested in fashion and I am an avid reader of this particular fashion blog. From my own personal knowledge I know this blog to be very popular among students not only at Emory University but among students who attend schools all across the country. The blog features posts from almost every university. I am also interested in using these students for my ethnography film because I admire their work and find them to be relatable. The blog writers are normal students from Emory University who have been making media in a fun, creative and enjoyable way. I would also like to learn more about how the blogging process works for this website in particular. By interviewing the fashion bloggers, I believe I can learn a lot about people who not only have a similar admiration for fashion to myself but who have also been able to provide a way to help others learn about fashion all by using the Internet as medium and a resource.
